Luxury Swimming Pool Design Trends in Dubai: What the Best Pool Contractors Are Building Right Now

Dubai is one of the most design-forward cities in the world. People all over the world are always looking for new ideas, and the homes and gardens here show that. People here also care about quality, size, and how things look. Making a diving pool in this area isn’t just about making a place to swim. It’s about creating an experience: a room that the owner loves, guests will remember, and that fits in perfectly with the building and the area around it.

Green Creation is the best company in Dubai at making high-end pools. The team works with homeowners, interior designers, builders, and real estate developers to make pools that are very different from the ones that are already on the market. This article talks about the most important design trends that are currently affecting Dubai’s pool scene and gives you useful tips on how to use them in your own project.

Trend One: The Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Connection

In Dubai’s high-end home market, the line between inside and outside is getting less clear. People are using big sliding or folding glass doors to let the garden into whole walls of their homes. As a result, pool designers are making pools that feel like they are part of the living space inside the house instead of being a separate outdoor feature.

In this case, the pools start very close to the house and use the same lines and materials to go into the yard. There are times when the pools have a narrow wet edge that runs along a glass wall that goes from floor to ceiling. The tiles on the floor inside are the same ones used outside around the pool. The color of the water was chosen to match the colors inside. The underwater lights make a really pretty connection between the pool and the living room when it’s dark.

Green Creation knows what problems can happen with civil engineering and drainage when pools are built too close to buildings. When you use this design method, you need to be very careful with the movement joints, the waterproofing features, and how to deal with water splashing at the building interface.

Trend Two: Infinity and Perimeter Overflow Edges

People in Dubai still love infinity pools, and the tools and skills needed to build them have gotten a lot better in the last ten years. You have to be very careful to make a good infinity pool. The overflow edge, which is the wall that the water runs over, needs to be the right height and level all the way along its length. The effect is lessened by the fact that the water sheet is not even, which is only two or three millimeters off.

Green Creation builds infinity pools that are carefully planned and built to the exact specifications. The circulation pump is made to handle the extra head that comes from the raised infinity edge. The balance tank, which is the underground reservoir that collects the overflow water and sends it back to the pool through the circulation system, is the right size for the amount of water that will be used.

The perimeter overflow pool is a more recent version of the idea of infinity. In this pool, all four sides overflow instead of just one. This makes a beautiful still-water picture effect when the pool is not in use. It’s harder to build than a single-edge infinity pool, but the results are really amazing.

Trend Three: Natural and Organic Pool Shapes

More natural, freeform shapes are replacing the perfectly rectangular pools that were popular for a long time. More and more people are getting pools that are kidney-shaped, ovals that aren’t perfectly round, or that follow the shape of the garden instead of being forced into a strict geometric order.

In bigger gardens, these natural pool shapes look great because a rectangular pool would look out of place with the plants and terrain around it. Another thing that round pools can’t do is give you design choices. For instance, they can have beach entries that slope down into the water like a natural shoreline, shallow wading areas for kids at one end, and more interesting visual compositions when seen from inside the house.

Building an organic pool shape is harder than building a rectangular one because the dig and the concrete shell have to perfectly match every curve. pool contractors in dubai is great for freeform shapes because it makes it easy to make curves and compound profiles.

Trend Four: Integrated Water Features

Water features are increasingly being designed as integral parts of the pool rather than separate additions. Some of the most popular integrated water features Green Creation builds include:

Deck Jets and Scuppers

Deck jets are low-profile nozzles that shoot clean circles of water into the pool when you put them on the edge. A skimmer is a wall that is higher than the pool and has channels or exits built into it. The water falls in a sheet or curtain. These two things make the pool area more lively and musical without needing big buildings or complicated engineering.

Sheer Descents

A sheer drop happens when a wide, thin sheet of water falls from a place that is higher than the water level. When the water is made right, it makes a beautiful glassy curtain, especially at night when the light comes from behind. Green Creation only uses well-known international names for their sheer descent systems, and they plan to put them in the pool surrounding from the very beginning of the project.

Spa and Hydrotherapy Jets

A spa built into the pool, usually at one end or to one side and connected by a spillway, makes the pool area more relaxing. A well-built spa has its own heating system that keeps it warmer than the main pool and strong hydrotherapy jets that can be used to work on specific muscle groups. Green Creation’s job is to design and build pools and spas that look like they are one thing instead of two.

Trend Five: Smart Pool Technology

Automation and connectivity are transforming the way pools are managed. Modern pool control systems allow the homeowner to monitor and adjust every aspect of the pool’s operation from a smartphone, regardless of where they are in the world. This includes:

• Setting filtration run times and adjusting pump speed remotely
• Monitoring water temperature and adjusting the heater or chiller
• Controlling lighting colour and intensity to create different moods
• Receiving alerts if the water chemistry moves outside acceptable parameters
• Activating water features and adjusting their flow rate

Green Creation can add smart pool control systems to existing pools or build them into new pools. It takes a lot less time and effort to keep a pool clean with this technology. It also helps keep things from going wrong by letting the owner know right away when something is wrong.

Trend Six: Energy Efficiency and Sustainability

Sustainability is becoming more and more important to homeowners and builders in Dubai. Using energy to run a swimming pool’s filters, heaters, lights, and water features has a cost and an effect on the environment. Green Creation looks at how to make pools more energy efficient from a number of different angles:

Variable-Speed Pumps

Pumps that can change speeds use a lot less power than pumps that only work at one speed. They can cut the cost of energy used for filtration by half or more compared to older technology by running at slower speeds during off-peak times and only speeding up when needed.

Solar Heating

Dubai gets a lot of sun, and using solar panels to heat pools is a great way to use that sun. You can keep swimming in the pool even in the winter if you get the right-sized solar heating system. It won’t cost you much, and you might not even need a gas or electric heater for most of the year.

LED Lighting

Halogen or incandescent pool lights use a lot more power than LED lights, but they last a lot longer. Halogen lights can’t compete with them because they don’t change color. All new pools that Green Creation builds come with LED lights as standard.

Pool Covers

When the pool cover is put on correctly, it can lose up to 95% less water. This means that a lot less water is used, and chemicals are used to make up for the water that evaporates. It also keeps the pool clean, which means you don’t have to filter it as often, and it keeps heat in, which lowers heating costs. Green Creation can provide and install motorized pool covers that fold back in seconds with the push of a button.

Bringing Your Vision to Life with Green Creation

Green Creation can build any kind of pool to the highest standards in Dubai. You can choose from a sleek, simple infinity pool, a natural oasis with freeform shapes, or a high-tech smart pool with a spa and water features built right in.

The first thing the team does when we design something is listen. Every place is different, and so are the goals and budgets of each client. Green Creation never uses a template. The design is based on the specific features of your home and what you want to do with the space.
