The eight stages of a Dubai pool build

Nearly every villa pool follows this order:

1. Design and costing. Site visit, soil investigation, a 3D concept and an itemised price covering structure, equipment, finishes and deck.
2. Paperwork. The Developer NOC is first obtained from the master communities, and then from the Dubai Municipality permithe processhe next section covers this in full.
3. Excavation. Two to five days on a normal plot. Rock or restricted access adds days.
4. Shell. Steel reinforcement is followed by shuttering, and then concrete is placed either by pour or shotcrete. The shell needs weeks to cure, and no builder should hurry it.
